Question #1:
Some help with my story? 10 points?
So my book is called Indigo Mist. It's written in my main character's,18 year old Audrina, perspective. In this part Audrina has just learned that her best guy friend, even more really, Dallas, has just been killed over seas, he was in the army. This comes a month after Audrina got engaged to her boyfriend, other half, perfect for her, Landon. She had, one week before written Dallas to invite him to her wedding, and be her "Made of Honor", she joked. She also acknowledged that she and Dallas had something special. When Audrina learns what happened to Dallas she is given a set of his dog tags and letter addressed to her. In the letter Dallas tells Audrina that he really does love her, he's told her before, and that he's happy for her and will be her "Made of Honor" he jokes back.Audrina is devastated. After making a speech at the funeral she drives, alone leaving Landon there, and drives to the cold washington beach and sits in the rain on a bleached white fallen tree, where she always used to hang out with Dallas.
So I need help with the seen when she's on the beach, Landon comes later to check on her. Thanks!!
Question #2:
How long should wedding speeches be IN TOTAL?
How long is too long for wedding speeches to go on for IN TOTAL before people get restless? The speeches will be AFTER the main course (before dessert) so people WON'T be hungry. My fiance and I have a few people who we want to say a formal speech on top of the usual. The speakers will be (not in this order):
- Father of Bride
- Father of Groom
- Bride (I really want to speak! lol)
- Groom
- Best Man
- Groomsman (not traditional... but fiance really wants this)
- Maid Of Honor
- Brides Brother (important to me for various reasons)
- Maybe Bridesmaid so she doesn't feel left out!?!?
I know it's a long list... but each one is important to my fiance and/or me. What do you think? What time limit should each speech have to make this acceptable and not boring? (All of the boys are naturally pretty funny which should help at least. And the MC will be funny too)
Thanks
We're not having a rehursal dinner.
Question #3:
Questions for people who have experience with TCA peels.. desperate?
Hi there, I have been embarrassed about the marks on my upper arms left from picking at my acne for years.. I am 19, and have had them for as long as I can remember now. I want to be able to go out wearing nice dresses like everyone else, I love my body, but when I look at my arms, these marks make me feel so down about myself. I have had 3 sessions of "light" chemical peels with my dermatologist and he has not increased the intensity. I keep showing him that my skin is barely even changing. He told me he will be able to do it by the end of September because I "have a mild case" and also I have a very important wedding coming up and I need to look my best as I will be doing a speech for my best friend. I wanted to buy the 40% TCA peel (I will definitely dilute it when applying it first time) but I do not know if a TCA peel is right for me. Again, I have FADED acne marks (discoloration or hyperpigmentation if you wanna call it it's like spots all over). Although they aren't so bad, you can definitely tell they are there. Please, I'm desperate and can't afford to keep paying hundred of dollars for hardly any change in my skin. Help is greatly appreciated (sorry for writing a chapter). Thanks.Question #4:
Help with Maid Of Honor Speech!?
My sister is getting married in October and im having a hard tie with a part of the speech. Our mother passed away 2 years ago and I don't know how to or if I should mention her in my Speech. I know we will both be thinking of her on that day but I kinda want to say something to honor her. Her wedding is in Mexico and there will only be about 20 people at the reception . Thank you all for your help.Question #5:
I have to say a few words for my sister's wedding and I am not sure what to say?
My sister's wedding is less than a week away and I need to prepare something to say to everyone at the reception. I am very shy and I need some little jokes that I can put into my speech so that the audience will be more relaxed when they are listening to me. Also if you can provide any examples of how to start off my little speech. I am not toasting the couple but I am just saying some stuff about them and wishing them good luck for the future. Please help in any way possible especially with the jokes! Thank you!Question #6:
My mom says that if I don't invite my wedding guest from hell aunt to the wedding she won't come either!?
My mother's sister, my aunt, is the most attention seeking people I have ever known. Last year, my sister got married and my aunt caused mayhem.- She never replied to the invite, she never even called my sister back when she phoned her numerous time a few weeks after the RSPV date to find out if she was coming. My sister therefore took the answer as a 'No, she wasn't coming' . On the day of the wedding, my aunt turned up and barged her way to the front row in the church. She was then outraged that she wasn't on the seating plan for the dinner. My sister had to arrange with the reception for an extra seat and meal - which cost her an additional $100 for the very last minute addition to the dinner. When everybody went to take their seats, my aunt made her way to the top table and sat down on the seat that was reserved for me (Our father was very ill in hospital, unable to make the wedding, so I was taking his place at the top table) My sister politely told my aunt to go to the table place that was being set up for her, but my aunt refused, and as I could see that tensions were at boiling point, I told my sister not to let her ruin the day and to keep the peace I instead sat where my aunt was supposed to sit.
Then came the speeches. The best man, my mother and the groom all made lovely speeches, but as soon as the grooms sat down, my aunt stood up and to every ones shock horror, proceeded to make a very bitter Speech herself and practically called the groom a waster (he's not, he's a gentleman) and that my sister could of done so much better. Despite my mother telling her to sit down, she then went on to add that she was disappointed with my sister for not including her in seating plan! In front of 200 guests!! I'm not joking about this - I wish I was. It was one of the most horrible moments of my life. Everyone was in shock. Then the icing on the cake was at the end, when everyone was leaving, my aunt wrote in the guestbook "Have a very happy marriage - cant wait for the divorce hahahah" She said that is was a joke, but my sister was so upset and has never, understandably, talked to my aunt since.
Now here is the problem. I'm getting married next year and I'm not under any circumstances inviting my aunt, because it would beguaranteedd that she would try and ruin it. My mom, however, has said that I need to invite my aunt. She says that she was good to me when I was young and since it's her only sister she MUST be invited. My mom has even said that if I don't invite my aunt, then she won't be coming either.
My whole family is torn apart by this, please help! I would rather not get married at all than not have my mom at my wedding!
Thanks for all your time.
Question #7:
Is the best man supposed to give a speech at the couple's engagement party?
My husband is the best friend for a family/friend member and the couple's engagement party is coming up. Is he expected to give a speech at the engagement party as he is already giving one at the wedding?I meant : "My husband is the BEST MAN..."
Question #8:
What goes into the brides wedding speech?

If you have any examples that would be great also.
Question #9:
Matron of Honor/Bestman combined Speech?
I am the matron of honor and my husband is the best man for my twin sister's wedding. We are looking to give a funny combined speech, possibly marriage advice, but we have only been married 1 1/2 yrs. If anyone could help us out with a funny speech it would be great! Thanks!Question #10:
Should I feel upset that my husband is not best man I am not a bridesmaid at his brothers wedding?
My brother in Law and his girlfriend recently got engaged which we are all really happy about but there are a few surprises in their wedding party. We have always been quite close to them and when me and my husband got married recently my husband made his brother best man without question and his girlfriend was one of my bridesmaids. Now they have announced that they want my husband as an usher rather than best man and I have not been included in the wedding party (although I have been asked to do a reading). My husband is saying he is relieved as it means he doesn't have to do a speech and that he is happy with this but i don't believe him! He was very excited about the wedding before hand and has become much more subdued since they told us. I know that he feels a little hurt by this. I also understand that the bride has a lot of close friends and so felt that she couldn't have everyone as a bridesmaid but I cannot help but feel just a little hurt by it myself. Am I just being petty? I just feel that we as family have been sunned a little in favour of their friends but maybe I am being too sensitive?Question #11:
How soon before the wedding should the maid of honor prepare her speech?

Question #15:

Question #17:
Speech for my sister's wedding?
Hey so my sister got engaged recently, and she asked me to be her maid of honour! I was thrilled, happy and excited all at the same time! I knew all the work that I would need to do, and it certainly is not a problem. However I then realized that I have to make a speech for the reception hall at night in front of all the guests. My first question is, how do I get over my fear of public speaking? I already hate speaking in front of classes (even if I'm eighteen) so how would I be able to do that? and my second question is, what do you expect in a speech from a maid of honour? I know more or less what I want to say, I would just like some input and suggestions from others.Serious answers please!
Thank you in advance!
Question #18:
What do you think of him?
soo i recently started talking to this guywe met before my ex and i started dating but i kind of cut it off and so we met again at his graduation party and ever since then he has been trying to get to know me and wanting to hang out

Question #19:
has anybody been to or got married in gretna green scotland?
my partner and i are seriously considering getting married there. we have chosen where we would like the ceremony, its just afterwards we are not too sure about. there would be 20 people parents and brothers and sisters and kids) going to the wedding (including us) so we were thinking of a traditional wedding breakfast and speeches etc, would we be able to organise this in a hotel or restaurant? also after the meal what would we do? it would be nice to do something in the evening, drinks dancing, but ofcourse with there only being 20 of us i dont know what we could possibly do or where we would go? we are having a party when we get home a few weeks later for family and friends xQuestion #20:
Was I buzzed last night or mildly drunk?
Yesterday, my aunt graduated from college and got her PHD in Political Science. So we had a party for her in our house. I had a small drink (i'm guessing about 6-8 ounces) then I started to feel "good". I was stumbling a little not like I can't get my balance stumbling. I had control of everything still (speech, movement, actions, etc.) I felt a little dizzy as if I were having a hypoglycemic episode (low blood sugar episode), but I took my blood sugar and it was 117.It also helps that before my aunt came for the party, I had 2 classes of Karate. One class at 4:30 PM and the last class at 6:55 PM. So does exercise make you buzzed up faster than normal or mildly drunk faster? I only had one drink of Bacardi's Strawberry Rum
This drink to clarify Click Here
But afterwards, I had my symptoms above. After Degrassi went off, I imediately went to sleep (which was 9:30 PM)
More info-- I'm only 14 years old ('m not an alcoholic, I only have one glass on special occasions such as New Years, Pre Wedding Dinners or Graduations (relatives). So I only have about 1-2 drinks a year.)
131 lbs
5"1.5 feet
I'm type 1 diabetic
So I woke up today with no headache or no nausea. I had 10 hours of sleep but I still feel a bit tired..
I just want to know because I never felt like this before and 1 glass of bacardi made me feel weird and "good". I don't want to have a glass of alcohol again if I have this feeling again.
No rude comments and be mature
thank you in advance!!
